I like to consider myself to be a light and airy/natural photographer who focuses on real colors during real moments.

I was born and raised in a small town called Fincastle, just outside of Roanoke, VA. Growing up, I always stole my dad's video and digital cameras for my own selfish use. For Christmas 2014, my parents gifted me my very first DSLR camera and that's where the magic began. I started photographing families and friends to practice and find my niche.

After I graduated high school, I attended Radford University and in 2020 I received a Bachelor's degree in Media Production Technology where I strengthened my knowledge in lighting, editing, and composition of photos and video. After I graduated from college I moved up to Northern Virginia momentarily with my sweet boyfriend, Faraz (aka. DJ Frizzi), and my fat cat, Louie, where I eventually started Captured By Carly, LLC

We have now settled back into the Roanoke Valley, home of the Mill Mountain Star. I still cater to the whole state of Virginia and love to explore new places!

Previously known as CarlyBeth Photography, I started Captured By Carly, LLC in 2022 with one goal in mind: to capture timeless memories at an affordable price!
