Previously known as CarlyBeth Photography, I started Captured By Carly, LLC in 2019 with one goal in mind: to capture timeless memories at an affordable price!

I was born and raised in a small town called Fincastle, just outside of Roanoke, Virginia. Growing up, I was always borrowing my dad's video and digital cameras for my own creative adventures. For Christmas in 2014, my parents gifted me my very first DSLR camera, and that's where the magic began. I started photographing family and friends to practice, build my skills, and discover my niche.

After graduating high school, I attended Radford University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Production Technology in 2020. During my time there, I strengthened my knowledge of lighting, editing, and visual composition for both photography and video. After college, I briefly moved to Northern Virginia with my sweet fiancé, Faraz (aka DJ Frizzi), and my fat cat, Louie, where I officially launched Captured By Carly, LLC.

Today, my husband and I call Charlottesville home, but my roots will always be in the Roanoke Valley. I proudly serve clients throughout Virginia and love any excuse to explore a new location. I consider my style light, airy, and natural, with a focus on true-to-life colors and genuine moments that you'll cherish for years to come.
